Kronokare Aromatherapy Flower Power Face Toner Review

Greetings, my good people of the Internet world.

A couple of weeks back I spotted a mailer from MSMBox announcing the launch of a new line of skincare, and I had just received my salary the same day (yes, I’m practically a pauper by the end of the month) so I jumped at the opportunity and ordered me some love from Kronokare’s new aromatherapy range featured on MSMBox.com.

I ordered the following from the website:

1. Kronokare Aromatherapy Flower Power Face Toner. (Free 30 ml face wash)

2. Kronokare Polish the Blemish Face Scrub. (Read review Here)

There was an introductory offer going on (probably still on) that with the purchase of 100 ml Kronokare Aromatherapy Flower Power Face Toner one would receive a travel-sized Kronokare Aromatherapy City Detox Face Wash absolutely free and I did not dally (comment below if freebies make you happy too). The delivery was quick and I have been able to use this toner for a full two weeks so as to form a proper opinion about the product.

Price: Rs. 295/- for 100 ml.

Description by the brand:

When the time comes to infuse power to your skin, let flowers to do the job! Our Face Toner is naturally made of pure distilled flower water, combining the purifying property of lavender with the repairing property of Neroli and YlangYlang. Your skin texture gets instantly supple, the pores shrink, and the completion is illuminated. You simply glow.

Direction for use:

Spray directly on your beautiful face, as often as desired and all along your day as you get exposed to pollution and dirt. Dap with cotton. Your skin will get rid of the yucky, making you instantly smiley. Also recommended after your daily face wash.

Ingredients:

Distilled Water, Lavandula Angustifolia, Cananga Odorata, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis, Kathon CG.

The Lowdown:

The Kronokare Aromatherapy Flower Power Face Toner comes in a sturdy black plastic bottle with a nozzle and a transparent cap. According to the promotional videos on the MSMBox YouTube channel about how to use them, one is supposed to spray it directly on the face to feel instantly moisturized. I’m not sure whether the build of the nozzle is such or whether I received a defective bottle but the direction of the sprayed liquid is downwards, so it basically sprays my collarbone and my dress, but not my face (may be a little on my chin, but you get my point, right?). One look at the swatches and you will understand what I’m talking about. To avoid wasting the product further, I decided to transfer it to my trusty QVS spray bottle (Read more about QVS bottles here) and that solved the problem.

The mist takes about a minute to dry once sprayed and I usually stand under the fan and pat it dry as I’m always in such a hurry to get ready. The toner provides the necessary moisture and it doesn’t make my pores disappear wholly but it does a decent job to minimize it so my face doesn’t get too oily during the day after I step out of the house. The mist doesn’t mess with my makeup application and hasn’t broken out my oily-combination skin during the fortnight when I was testing it out.

I love the idea of a spray-on toner, which means that now I spend less time on my daily skin care regimen and I can also carry this in my bag for on the go application in case my skin feels dehydrated during the day. I think this a wonderful product for people who work long hours in AC rooms or take frequent flights. Plus I love the subtle floral fragrance that is quite soothing to the nerves. Those with sensitive noses will not find this scent too overwhelming, as it tends to disappear within a couple of minutes. I also like to use this as a final makeup setting spray to settle down any powder makeup residue sitting on top of my skin and give it a more natural feel.

Will I repurchase Kronokare Aromatherapy Flower Power Face Toner?

Surely, as I feel it is a versatile product and can be used in many ways. Plus it is inexpensive. I have been using a floral toner by Saanté which I received, as a part of the MSM Select Box. It contains rose and orange blossom water and has a very soothing floral-citrusy fragrance. Im happy to announce that the Kronokare Aromatherapy Flower Power Face Toner is going to replace the Saanté one (complete ingredients list is absent), as it is devoid of all skin-harming substances like silicones, sulphates, mineral oil and parabens. So a big thumbs up from me.

If you have any thoughts regarding my review feel free to comment below. Have you tried Kronokare products before? I would love to hear about your experiences. Also I would love to know your thoughts, comments and suggestions on such posts and whether you would love to continue reading them in the future.

À tout à l’heure, lovelies.

Xoxo
Belinda
